Here you find some insights of our work concerning the how and why…
A Quest for the Quality of Life and Wellbeing
GOAL has been working on this issue for the past 3 years. Our approach focuses on human development – that is, focus on people in all their diversity: their sense of Self, what is important to them and what they believe about these values, what motivates them to learn, their knowledge capabilities and skills, and how they relate to other people in their everyday life. We therefore very much welcomed the speeches at the recent General Assembly of the UN, where the Secretary General and several Heads of State forcibly insisted on the need for the UN to focus on people and rather than only on processes – and on the importance of Multilateralism – when working on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030.
A Note on Capacity Building for the Transformation of Development Processes
GOAL is concerned with capacity building of social groups designed to enable them to evolve towards «dynamic stability with their environment» and «socio-ecological resilience». Capacity building opens new spaces for creation, innovation and exploration.
